Welcome to Islands

At Islands Christian Church, connection is at the heart of who we are.

We believe real life change begins when people feel connected—to Jesus and to each other.

Whether you’re new or have been around for a while, this page is a place to learn more about who we are and how to get connected.

Who We Are

  • Connecting people to Jesus and each other.

This mission shapes everything we do. From our Sunday gatherings to small groups, serving teams, and outreach in our community, our goal is always connection—not just attendance.

  • A community where people are finding and following Jesus.

We want to be a church where faith is lived out daily. That means growing in trust, learning to follow Jesus in everyday life, and walking alongside one another through every season.

  • Our values describe the culture we’re building and the kind of people we hope to become together.

    • Relational
Faith grows best in community. That’s why relationships beyond Sunday matter so much to us.

    • Compassionate
We care about what breaks God’s heart and seek to love our neighbors with humility and action.

    • Curious
Questions are welcome here. We believe growth comes through learning, listening, and seeking truth.

    • Biblical
We look to Scripture for wisdom, guidance, and direction for life and faith.

    • Loving
Grace and truth belong together. Every person is welcome, valued, and treated with dignity.

    • Empowered
Ministry isn’t reserved for a few. God works through everyday people using their gifts and discernment.

    • Generous
We live open-handedly with our time, abilities, and resources, trusting God’s provision.

  • We believe healthy leadership includes accountability, wisdom, and prayerful discernment.

Islands Christian Church is an elder-governed, staff-managed church.

Our staff oversee the day-to-day ministry and direction of the church. Our elders provide spiritual leadership, accountability, and long-term guidance to help ensure the mission stays at the center of every decision.

Leadership here is shared rather than centered on one person. We believe this model reflects the New Testament picture of the local church and creates healthy accountability, prayerful discernment, and trust.

  • Most of what happens at Islands is carried out by volunteers serving on ministry teams—children’s ministry, student ministry, hospitality, small groups, worship, and more.

Serving isn’t about filling a spot or meeting a quota. It’s about creating space for people to encounter Jesus, build relationships, and use their gifts in meaningful ways. We want serving to be life-giving, not burdensome.

  • We believe generosity is part of following Jesus, and we’re committed to handling resources with care, integrity, and transparency.

There are two primary ways to give at Islands:

    General Fund
Supports the ministries, staff, facilities, and daily operations of the church.

    Missions Fund
100% of these gifts go directly to local and global mission partners.

Our finances are reviewed regularly by a financial oversight team, our elders, and an external advisory partner.

We never want giving to feel pressured or transactional—generosity flows from trust in God, and transparency helps build that trust.

  • We are a Bible-centered, Jesus-focused church.

Our full statement of beliefs is available online for anyone who would like to explore further. We understand that questions around faith and theology are important and sometimes complex. If you ever want to talk through what we believe or why we believe it, we’d welcome that conversation.
