The Middle School Ministry of Islands Christian Church is based on Acts 2:42, “They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.” The focus of the ministry is to disciple middle school students for spiritual growth and to prepare them for Christian leadership positions. The program offers three distinct areas of involvement. The first is Wednesday evenings which is designed around games, worship, and large group Bible Study. Sunday mornings offers fellowship opportunities and intense Bible Study. The third opportunity is a small group setting where students are paired with adult leaders and focus one-on-one for individual spiritual growth.
Throughout the year we offer special events designed to promote fellowship and/or spiritual growth. These activities include camp, retreats, lock-ins, various and exciting types of gatherings, fellowship in homes, and opportunities to eat! Our program also encourages the youth to be involved in Mission activities of various types to strengthen their Christian growth.
While the ministry promotes activities that are exciting and fun, the goal is to see middle school students mature in their faith and spiritual walk.
