John LaMaison | Minister

John came to Islands Christian Church in February of 2008. John is a graduate of Florida Christian College, is married and has three crazy kids.

Before coming to Islands Christian Church John was a youth minister for 13 years, so that explains a lot.

Josh Peters | Youth Minister

Josh joined the Islands Staff in July 2010. He is a 2008 graduate of Johnson Bible College with a Youth Ministry and Preaching degree and has also done internships in Brooklyn, New York and Maui, Hawaii. He loves the outdoors, surfing, skimboarding, soccer, and basketball, but absolutely loves hanging out with his beautiful and talented wife, Megan, and with students, seeing them move towards Christ.

He has been married to Megan since October, 2009. Megan is a recent graduate of Johnson Bible College with a counseling degree. They love going to Tybee together and also walking Lola, their dog, in Bonaventure Cemetery. Josh and Megan are looking forward to reaching the youth of Savannah with you!

Kirsten Barrow | Children’s Director

Kirsten is a native of Savannah. She is the mother of two boys and has been married for twelve years. Being brought up as a lifelong Christian, Kirsten realizes the importance of the church community. She, along with her husband, Billy and their two sons, started attending Islands Christian Church in 2005 and became very active in all areas of the church. Kirsten loves children! This is a very important part of the responsibility of the Children’s Director. Outside interests include the Georgia Bulldogs, soccer and they really like race cars too.

Alice Magyar | Church Secretary

Alice grew up in Southern California.  She moved to Savannah in 1996 when she married her husband Mark, who serves in the military. Mark & Alice are the parents of two busy children, Elisabeth (10) and Andrew (8). The Magyars have lived in Colorado, Arizona, Alabama, Germany, and were happy to be relocated to Savannah in 2006. Alice has been working at ICC since 2007.  She enjoys spending time with her family and their puppy, Taylor.
